Accommodations Costa Rica
There is a vast array of accommodations in Costa Rica
ranging from hotels to hostels, resorts to bed and breakfast.
Whatever your accommodation requirement Costa Rica has it.
Hotels accommodate everyone from the nature lover to the resort
enthusiast. Several of the larger hotel chains are located on the
Pacific side of the country. Many luxury hotels are located in the
lush rainforests near the national parks. Location specific hotels
have amenities and tours particular to that area.
Hostels are a great way to go when you're on a strict budget. By
definition a hostel is a supervised, inexpensive lodging place for
travelers. They often cater to the young traveler such as college
students. Prices in the dorms run about $8.00 per night and private
rooms are available for a little more. Hostel accommodations include
a kitchen area, Internet access, storage, community cable TV, free
coffee, and hot showers.
Resort accommodations run from the trendy to the elegant. Many of
the resort locations cater to specific tourist interests. You'll
find resorts near the tropical rainforests with daily hiking tours,
swamp excursions, and bird and wildlife observations. Beach resorts
offer surfing, snorkeling, sports fishing packages, and special tour
packages.
Small bed and breakfasts and inns give the tourist intimate and
personalized accommodations. They are great for a romantic getaway,
special celebration or when you are just looking for that little bit
extra in a vacation. Often you can stay in restored historical homes
and inns and plantation farms just minutes from the hustle and
bustle of the cities or beauty and splendor of the country's
national parks. Prices vary and are comparable to hotel stays.
Whether your accommodations lean towards the quiet and quaint,
economically sound or extravagant you'll find the right setting for
you in Costa Rica.
